Demystifying Prenatal Yoga Workshop
There’s a lot of information out there on how to teach Prenatal Yoga. Weather you’ve attended a prenatal training or briefly visited the subject in your 200-hour teacher training there’s a lot of do’s and don’ts that can leave you feeling overwhelmed even anxious about teaching to this special population.
Demystifying Prenatal Yoga is a 5-hour workshop created to bring a clearer and easier understanding of the prenatal body, including physical and emotional changes, and how yoga can support the mom to be. We will discuss practical guidelines for teaching to the prenatal population, some of the most common contraindicated poses, and how to create an inclusive practice for pregnant mommas. We will practice integrating mom into the yoga experience and remove the “do’s and don’ts” from our teaching experience. This opens an opportunity for everyone to think and move freely and experience the yoga practice.
This is a great workshop for all teachers, weather you intend to teach prenatal or would like to stay current with new information (it’s constantly changing). And every teacher could benefit learning how to keep the prenatal student “included” not “excluded” in your classes.
