Kresta has been practicing yoga since 2007 and decided to take her practice to another level so that she can share her passion for health and mind-body awareness with others. Kresta earned her 200 hour teacher training certificate through YogaWorks in 2012 while living in New York City. Along her journey, she found a deeper understanding that yoga is much more than the asana practice and it changed her life. Now, she wants to share that gift with everyone she meets.
As a yoga instructor, Kresta teaches the importance of sthira (steadiness) and sukha (comfort) on the mat and in the world. Once we learn to steady and calm the body, then we can understand how to do this with the mind, leading to a place of internal peace. When we begin to bring peace to ourselves, we want to help other find peace. As a result, we all become teachers and students.
