Morgan Ward, Owner/Instructor E-RYT 200, RYT 500

Morgan attended her first yoga class shortly after graduating from high school. While pursuing her love of baking, a second opportunity arose. She traveled to Venice Beach, California to attain her 200hr certificate with the queen of flow, Shiva Rea. Over the next six years she flirted with her yoga practice, popping into classes here and there with no real commitment. Eventually she built up the courage to teach, opening the door to her biggest adventure yet.

As yoga became more of a daily activity some of its novelty began to disappear. The more she taught the less the movement felt good. The constant stretching would feel nice during class but wasn’t having any lasting effects for her or her students. She also noticed some of the traditional sequencing wasn’t easy for people to find and the poses weren’t always accessible. This led her to explore the use of props to bring the pose to the student. She began to study with Jules Mitchell and Trina Altman to learn a different way of moving in her yoga practice. In 2018 she decided to attend Jules Mitchell 300hr training in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a life changing training with an inspirational group of women!

Morgan still strongly believes in the breath and mind body connection of yoga but loves to bring in a more functional and strength based spin on the traditional. She loves teaching/practicing yoga, especially with kettlebells, and spending time with her husband and three boxers.
