Prenatal Partner Yoga Workshop
This 2 hour workshop focuses on engaging with one's partner in a supportive physical practice and creating a space to prepare for childbirth. We address postures, massage, and breathing techniques to cope with the sensations that arise during labor and which help relieve some of the discomforts of pregnancy. A blend of partner yoga, labor assists and supportive touch, the Prenatal Partner Yoga Workshop gives participants a physical and verbal vocabulary with which to have a dialogue around both pregnancy and labor.
The workshop creates a relaxed atmosphere to be with other couples and is designed to build physical and emotional strength for both partners as they prepare for the intimate experience of childbirth.
No yoga experience necessary. The workshop is suitable for all trimesters. We encourage and welcome same sex couples and birthing partners to attend. The workshop is 2 hours long.
