What is Yin Yoga Teacher Training?

Yin Yoga is a meditative and restorative practice that focuses on long-held, passive poses to target the deep connective tissues. This training is designed for those looking to deepen their practice and share the transformative power of Yin Yoga with others. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, this training offers tools for personal growth and teaching.

What You Will Learn:

  • This 10-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training covers the following:

    • Yin Yoga Postures & Sequence Design

    • Understanding Yin and Yang in Yoga

    • Anatomy and Physiology of the Fascia and Connective Tissues

    • Meditation and Mindfulness Techniques

    • The Art of Teaching Yin Yoga

    • Ethics of Yoga and Creating Safe Spaces for Students

    • Business Tools for a Successful Yoga Career

Agenda:

  • Friday 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM

    • Welcome | What to expect | Intro and Class Overview | What Yin is / not.

  • Saturday 10:45 AM - 4 PM

    • Anatomy | Yin Theory | How to Teach - Specific poses | Teaching Practice

  • Sunday 11 AM - 4 PM

    • Practice | Deep divee more poses | Teaching | Graduation '

  • 1.5 Hours ‘homework”

Meet Your Trainer:

Lead Instructor: Janet Clayton, E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP® - Janet is a RYTT 500+ hours and has been sharing the practice of yoga with students all over the world since late 2015. She started her journey studying Ashtanga Yoga in Cape Town South Africa and since her path has led her to explore a variety of styles of Yoga including Yin, Vinyasa, and Forest Yoga. Janet’s classes are a blend of strength and flexibility with an emphasis on fun and lightheartedness.
